SARAJEVO, February 28 (FENA) - FBiH Government, at today's session, adopted the decision for allocating 15 million KM, through Union Bank for youth housing, FBiH Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Jelka Miličevićs said.
She recalled the 2018 project for these purposes, as well as the previous year's project for youth employment and self-employment, which is the Government's aspiration to keep young people not to go abroad but to stay here and build their future in the Federation of BiH.
This year, for the third time in a row, the Government is pooling money with Union Bank, which will pool ten million, to lend for housing under more favorable conditions.
Out of KM 59 million realized so far, among the loan beneficiaries with an average amount of KM 95,000, more than half are young people with university degrees, said the Deputy Prime Minister. She stated that Union Bank's fixed interest rate of 0.1 percent may be smaller and recalled that the repayment period of these loans is up to 20 years.
The Minister of Transport and Communication of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Lasić, addressed at the press conference, saying that at today's session of the Government it was decided to allocate 100 million KM for the construction of roads and highways in the FBiH.
The money was secured from the profits of public companies, which is exclusively intended for road infrastructure, recalled Minister Lasić, adding that five million KM were planned in connection with the railway infrastructure.
