SARAJEVO, March 11 (FENA) - Deputy Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina for Resource Management Mirko Okolić received on Tuesday Brigadier Michael Palaiologos, Military Attaché of the Republic of Greece to BiH.
The two officials discussed the ongoing issues in the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and long-term cooperation between the Armed Forces of the Republic of Greece and the Armed Forces of BiH.
They particularly highlighted the training of AF BiH members in the military schools of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Greece and the Greek language learning for the AFBiH members at Greek language schools in Banja Luka and Sarajevo.
In addition to the Republic of Greece being a friendly country and a NATO member, Deputy Minister Okolić particularly expressed his gratitude to the Republic of Greece for its support for Bosnia and Herzegovina to operate on the principles of the Dayton PA, adding that "Greece has always wanted peace and stability for Bosnia and Herzegovina."
Expressing his belief that successful cooperation between the two countries on military cooperation programs would continue, Brigadier Palaiologos said that in the coming period, he would advocate that as many students as possible be awarded scholarships and education at military academies in the Republic of Greece.
He added that the door of the Republic of Greece will always be open on the issue of European integration and expressed his wish for Bosnia and Herzegovina to move forward in that respect.
