SARAJEVO, March 11 (FENA) - Weapons and ammunition manufacturing company "Igman" Konjic plans to introduce a new line of ammunition of the 7.62×39mm round worth 10.5 million euros, which is expected to be released this year, announced the director of "Igman" Đahid Muratbegović at a press conference held on the occasion of the marking of the 70th anniversary of successful business operations.

“The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is absolutely determined to continue supporting the factories of the military industry. 'Igman' produces twice as much now than before the war and we are extremely pleased with that. We think that new modern technologies and materials and a new generation of development engineers should be working on the new line of ammo,” said FBiH Prime Minister Fadil Novalić.

Talking about the profit, director Muratbegović says it amounted to about 143 million euros last year and is expected to increase by one and a half million this year.

“Today, we will sign several contracts at the ceremony, including a contract with Global Ordnance LLC Sarasota LLC owner Marc Morales,” said Muratbegović.
