MOSTAR, March 12 (FENA) - FBiH Government adopted, at its session today in Mostar, Decision on allocation and use of earmarked revenues from special transaction account for funds for protection and rescue against natural and other disasters, opened as a sub-account within the Treasury Single Account which were cumulated from previous years to the FBiH Civil Protection Administration in the total amount of KM 9.814.300.
The earmarked funds in the 2020 Budget will be allocated and used to procure the necessary equipment, including for space adaptation, to protect health workers and population in the Federation of BiH in terms of worsening epidemiological situation with the new coronavirus (COVID-19), and to secure funds for quarantine.
Taking into account the fact that the FBiH Civil Protection Administration, by analyzing the state of organization of the protection and rescue services, determined that it is necessary to organize protection and rescue service - Medical Assistance Services at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, instead of the Institute for Emergency Medical Aid of the Sarajevo Canton. These changes have been made, which will uniquely organize medical assistance services within the clinical centers in Tuzla, Mostar and Sarajevo.
The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina also considered, accepted the revised COVID-19 Crisis Preparedness and Response Plan for the emergence of the new Coronavirus (COVID-19) of the Federation of BiH.
FBiH Ministry of Health and the Institute for Public Health of the FBiH are responsible for its implementation, and the Crisis Plan is being implemented in cooperation with the competent authorities for the area of health in the counties, as well as health institutions in the territory of the FBiH, announced PR Office of the FBiH Government.
