SARAJEVO, March 17 (FENA) - Speaker of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, Denis Zvizdić, today met with Head of the EU Delegation to BiH, Johann Sattler to discuss the ongoing situation with the spread of the COVID 19 virus in BiH.
Chairman Zvizdić said that significant measures have been taken at all levels of government to mitigate the consequences. He emphasized that apart from the importance of protecting the health of citizens in BiH, it is necessary to insist on a set of economic measures that will mitigate the economic consequences caused by the COVID 19 virus.
Chairman Zvizdić and Ambassador Sattler agreed that coordinated activities are the best way to prevent a pandemic, but also an indicator that citizens' interests, in the face of political disagreement, come first.
Ambassador Sattler said the European Union has always been with Bosnia and Herzegovina when assistance was needed, highlighting the situation with the floods that occurred in 2014.
Chairman Zvizdić and Ambassador Sattler agreed that coordinated activities are the best way to prevent a pandemic, but also an indicator that citizens' interests, in the face of political disagreement, come first.
They also discussed the current situation in BiH and the fulfillment of obligations on the path to the European Union, and overcoming the problems along the way.
