Šeranić: Sixteen more persons infected with coronavirus in RS

BANJA LUKA, March 19 (FENA) - Sixteen new coronavirus cases have been confirmed today in the entity of Republika Srpska (RS), raising the total number of those infected in that BiH entity to 45.

When it comes to newly infected, there are 10 women and six men, stated the entity health minister Alen Šeranić after a session of the RS Crisis Staff.

The persons in question are middle-aged, but also older and younger.

"Two persons have been admitted to the Banja Luka Clinical Center and have already been placed under supervision. They are in good health condition. One person each is in the hospitals in Prijedor and Bijeljina and their health situation is satisfactory," said Šeranić.

No one is in life-threatening condition.

He said that eleven persons were from Banja Luka, and one person was from Laktaši. One person was from Ribnik, then Prijedor, Kozarska Dubica and Bijeljina, all were in contact with people from Europe, while one of them is an employee at the airport.

"Nine persons out of 16 who recently tested positive to coronavirus are related to the third Banja Luka cluster, which has the largest number of infected. Three people are from Banja Luka, but they have either traveled or been in contact with people from Europe," said Šeranić.
