Višković: One of coronavirus patients in RS put on the respirator

BANJA LUKA, March 21 (FENA) - One person infected with a coronavirus in the Republika Srpska has been connected to respirator, RS Prime Minister Radovan Višković confirmed.

This is a person from Prijedor.

“He is at the University Clinical Center (UKC) of RS in Banja Luka and is connected to respirator,” Višković said.

He noted that other infected persons with the virus are stable.

“We also have a doctor at the UKC who is positive for coronavirus and measures are taken at the department where he worked to protect the staff and that health care facility,” Višković said at a news conference.

So far, 59 cases positive for the new coronavirus have been confirmed in that BiH entity (Banja Luka-45, Čelinac-3, Laktaši-2, Srbac-1, Prnjavor-1, Ribnik -1, Modriča-1, Kozarska Dubica-1 , Prijedor-1, Bijeljina-1, Gradiška-1 and Derventa-1).

Currently, there are 12,353 people in the RS under medical watch who have come from areas affected with coronavirus or were in contact with someone infected with SARS-CoV-2 virus.
