SARAJEVO, March 23 (FENA) - The latest measures taken by the Republika Srpska Government to reschedule loans and delay tax payments are not sufficient for the economy and will not halt economic deprivation and fall in public revenue,” said President of the Serb Democratic Party Mirko Šarović.
He said that in order to fight the coronavirus epidemic in our country, a lot of money should be provided, which can come not only from loans but also primarily from domestic economic activities.
This is why it is necessary to urgently suspend all public procurement in our country, for which several hundred million KM is planned this year. Namely, it is evident that, due to insufficient economic activity, budget revenues will be reduced, which will lead to the loss of a large number of jobs.
"It is imperative and urgent to suspend the purchase of a government helicopter and direct that money as well as the money planned for public procurement to the health sector, including the increase in salaries for healthcare workers who are currently fighting the biggest battle," Šarović emphasized.
