SARAJEVO, March 23 (FENA) - I am pleased that the serious work we have been doing lately has created a partnership and led to an agreement, and that the process of decision making at the Aluminij Assembly can start in about ten days. An agreement should then be signed and all deadlines set, Speaker of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly and HDZ BiH President Dragan Čović told FENA, commenting on information that the FBiH Government and the Abraham Group have reached an agreement to restart production in Mostar based company Aluminij.
Čović points out that the agreement stipulates that within the first two or three months, the first couple of hundred former Aluminij workers who want should start working.
“The average salary and a number of other things binding both sides have been defined, to stabilize the foundry in the first two years, and to create energy and every other framework for starting the production process in electrolysis and anodes. This is a big moment that after all the problems we have had since July last year, we begin to think differently about launching the new Aluminij, but solely on a market basis. That is the basic value of this agreement,” Čović emphasizes.
