BIJELJINA, March 24 (FENA) - BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik announces the adoption of more rigorous measures in the Republika Srpska to prevent the spread of coronavirus, and that gathering of more than two or three people may be banned in public places as of today.

“Irresponsible people are the most dangerous today. I am not calling for any lynch, but for accountability,” Dodik said, calling for absolute compliance with the coronavirus pandemic measures.

He said that this is a serious situation, there is no room for panic, but there is room for concern and that it becomes a responsibility of every individual in the RS.

“People spread the virus and it is needed that we have as little contact as possible, and to stay at home since it helps more than anything, it help even more than purchase of respirators,” Dodik said, stating that everyone must take care of vulnerable categories, that is, elderly and chronic patients.

After meeting with Bijeljina Mayor Mićo Mićić, he said he expects the normal supply of food and medical supplies to Semberija citizens, as well as the entire RS.

Entrepreneurs from Bijeljina have raised 500,000 KM to purchase medical supplies and equipment, and Dodik has announced assistance in purchasing respirators to the city.

In the area of Bijeljina, three people are positive to COVID 19, and they are in quarantine and are in good health.

There are 1,139 people in Bijeljina under medical watch.

Prior to his visit to Brčko District, Dodik said after visiting the Bimal Company and visiting oil and sugar production facility, there would be no problem in BiH supplying sugar and oil, as well as flour and salt.
