Speaker Čović and US Ambassador discuss BiH's response to coronavirus pandemic

SARAJEVO, March 29 (FENA) - Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiHPA), Dragan Čović, today held a phone meeting with US Ambassador to BiH Eric Nelson.

They discussed the multiple measures that, following the recommendations of experts and models of countries that have previously faced pandemic, were introduced to curb the spread of coronavirus and the economic impact in BiH.

Officials also discussed health system capacity, economic measures, security and stability issues, and international cooperation.

The interlocitors discussed the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and emphasized that political cooperation, especially at this time, is crucial.

Speaker of the House of Peoples of BiH, Dragan Čović, on behalf of the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina and on his own behalf, expressed gratitude to the American people and officials who contribute to the preservation of life, stability and prosperity of BiH by allocating humanitarian aid and medical equipment, the BiH Parliamentary Assembly announced.
