BANJA LUKA, March 31 (FENA) - In Republika Srpska (RS), coronavirus has been confirmed in another 25 people, bringing the total number of infected to 226, Health Minister Alen Šeranić said today.
In the last 24 hours, 179 samples were tested.
When it comes to newly infected people, Šeranić said they are 12 women and 13 men, mostly middle-aged or older.
There are 20 newly confirmed persons positive on Covid-19 in Banja Luka, four from Laktaši and one from Šipovo.
"These are mostly family clusters, but new ones are emerging as well," Šeranić said.
There are currently eight people on respirators at the Banja Luka hospital. None of the people who came in contact with the doctor and nurse from that health care facility are infected.
Šeranic emphasized that so far, 1,659 people have been tested for coronavirus in that BiH entity. There are 13,515 persons under medical supervision in this BiH entity, and 6,367 persons have finished this period.
