SARAJEVO, March 31 (FENA) – Head of the Sarajevo Canton Crisis Staff Aida Pilav said today at a joint press conference of the SC Government and the Crisis Staff that a total of 272 coronavirus tests have been performed so far, and that 24 were positive for coronavirus.

That means that 10 percent of them are positive, and the testing, she added, is done with medical and epidemiological indications. She also said that 90 percent of acute respiratory symptoms were due to influenza or other acute respiratory pathogens. Three of them are hospitalized and their health condition is stable and without a severe clinical picture and are likely to go home for treatment in the next period.

“There are currently 1,962 people in self-isolation, while 1,152 of our fellow citizens have come out of self-isolation. Well-established mobile health teams are testing at home and 61 tests were done yesterday,” Pilav added.

She stressed that there are enough tests and that rapid tests for acute respiratory infections are underway. Pilav stated that there is no room for panic and reiterated her call to citizens to adhere to the measures.
