ŠIROKI BRIJEG, April 3 (FENA) – Thirty-two people have been infected with Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 in the West Herzegovina Canton (WHC) by Thursday.
In Široki Brijeg, 23 people are infected, five were infected with the virus in Grude and four in Posušje.
In this canton, 968 people are in self-isolation, as of yesterday, which is an increase compared to the previous day.
Police reported that there had been no violation of self-isolation measures or curfew in the past 24 hours.
The latest case of coronavirus infection was confirmed late last night, and it is from a cluster related to the infected person from Čitluk.
The first case of infection in the Ministry of Interior (MUP) was confirmed yesterday. It is a policeman from Široki Brijeg who works in Posušje.
“The police officer is in good health, i.e. he has no symptoms and will continue to remain in isolation, from where he will regularly communicate with doctors,” said the WHC Minister of Interior, David Grbavac.
Two people have passed away resulting the coronavirus pandemic so far. Elderly woman from Jare near Široki Brijeg and a man (65) from Grude.
