TRAVNIK, April 3 (FENA) - Seven new cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in the Central Bosnia Canton. Four are from Gornji Vakuf / Uskoplje, two from Novi Travnik and one from Bugojno, said Director of the Public Health Institute Sead Karakaš in Travnik.
The persons from Gornji Vakuf / Uskoplje are linked to the existing cluster, and are members of the immediate family of one of the infected, while in the case of the newly infected in Novi Travnik, it is connected to the Tuzla cluster.
“In Bugojno, we now have an active Konjic cluster because one person who was at the event in Konjic is positive for the virus. The person was in self-isolation earlier and was negative on the first test, while now when tested again before leaving the isolation, she was positive. So she still remains in self-isolation. All the contacts from that cluster have been isolated in the past,” said Karakaš.
Karakaš stressed that the next 14 days are crucial in the fight against the virus, and urged citizens to show patience and more than ever to be careful and keep the social distance.
Yesterday, a total of 27 people from the Central Bosnia Canton were tested for the Covid-19 virus. The infection has been confirmed in a total of 19 people from that canton.
