SARAJEVO, April 5 (FENA) - Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH PA), Dragan Čović, spoke on the phone yesterday with the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to BiH, Nicolas Minasi, and discussed coronavirus pandemic, as well as health and economic challenges and measures introduced.
The two officials stressed that strengthening health capacities, protecting health and mitigating economic consequences are the primary needs of Bosnia and Herzegovina and numerous other countries around the world.
Čović and Minasi expressed satisfaction with the friendly bilateral relations and successful long-term cooperation, pointing out that in the future it is expected to further strengthen ties between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Italy, which, as they said, are largely related.
The interlocutors also commented on EU assistance to Bosnia and Herzegovina, pointing to a great deal of European solidarity which, despite the Union's internal needs, is also strongly expressed to partners in the Western Balkans region, the PR Office of the House of Peoples of the BiH PA announced.
