SARAJEVO, April 5 (FENA) – Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić extended congratulations on the occasion of April 6 – the day of the City of Sarajevo, marking the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the city from the fascist occupation, the BiH Presidency said.

We are marking this symbolic date for our city of Sarajevo in different conditions this year. This date is symbolized by resistance and triumphs, and I am convinced that we will overcome this situation in which we are now, and we will also win the fight against the invisible enemy.

Everything that had happened to us we managed to overcome together. We defended our city and our country on numerous occasions, and we will do all over again if needed.

This historic date of great importance to our city must never be forgotten, and no matter what we face, we must always bear in mind our commitment to anti-fascism, peace and freedom. We have a lasting duty to nurture that spirit of unity and solidarity and to pass it on to future generations.

I would like to congratulate to all citizens April 6 – the Day of the City of Sarajevo with the message that, like all citizens across Bosnia and Herzegovina, they stay at home to protect themselves and their fellow citizens. As a society, we have always acted responsibly, which should be continued for the benefit of all of us, Komšić said in his congratulatory message.
