Čović holds a telepohne meeting with Austrian Ambassador Hartmann

SARAJEVO, April 6 (FENA) - Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PSBiH), Dragan Čović, today held a telephone meeting with Austrian Ambassador to BiH, Ulrike Hartmann.

The two officials commented on the situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and exchanged information on measures that have proven necessary worldwide to combat the pandemic.

In addition, they stressed that restrictive and incentive measures are crucial for protecting the health of residents, ensuring economic stability and providing a systematic response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Čović and Hartmann also referred to an initiative addressed to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Parliament President David Sassoli, commenting on the great importance of the assistance of European partners to Bosnia and Herzegovina in this global health crisis.

The European partners, who continue to support Bosnia and Herzegovina in this great challenge for the whole world, are great friends of BiH.

The two also stressed that BiH's European path is a high priority, the BiH PA press service stated.
