UNDP delivers 1,600 protective visors to healthcare facilities in ZDC

FENA Press release

ZENICA, April 7 (FENA) - The Civil Protection Directorate of the Zenica-Doboj Canton yesterday received 1,600 protective visors from domestic production, which, according to the decision of the ZDC Ministry of Health Crisis Staff, will be distributed evenly to all health care institutions in this canton, i.e., medical workers who are the first line of defense in the fight against coronavirus.

This was a valuable donation funded by European Union funds, procured and delivered by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the ZDC Press Office said.

The canton emphasized that the donation is significant because it comes from domestic production, which has responded to two challenges, supporting domestic businesses and accelerated procedures, which is only the first in a series of next steps in cooperation between the ZDC Government, international organizations and donors through establishing models for faster and cheaper provision of necessary protective equipment and disinfectants.
