SARAJEVO, April 7 (FENA) – The House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament will hold a session tomorrow to amend its Rules of Procedure, allowing future sessions to be held online during the coronavirus pandemic.
The FBiH House of Representatives unanimously approved such amendments to the Rules of Procedure today at an extraordinary session without media presence, when MPs met at the Skenderija Youth Center in Sarajevo, with security measures of physical distance between them of at least a meter and a half and other prescribed protection measures. After MPs unanimously amended the Rules of Procedure, the next, online session of the House could be scheduled the day after tomorrow, with a Bill to mitigate the negative economic impact caused by the pandemic on the agenda. The act is already in parliamentary procedure, as is the proposal to rebalance the FBiH budget, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament, Mirsad Zaimović, said.
According to the announcements, members of the House of Peoples will also meet tomorrow at the Skenderija Youth Center as a space that allows for mandatory and sufficient physical distance among all participants. They are obliged to respect other measures of protection due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Future online sessions of both Houses of the FBiH Parliament will enable the highest legislative body in the Federation of BiH to function smoothly and make the necessary decisions in the new situation.
