SARAJEVO, April 7 (FENA) - Deputy Chairperson of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bisera Turković, spoke on the phone with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.
On that occasion, they exchanged concern about the situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in the Republic of Turkey, and emphasized the need for these two friendly countries to make maximum efforts to defeat the pandemic.
Minister Turković thanked Minister Cavusoglu for providing assistance to Bosnia and Herzegovina in medical equipment, and asked for the release of equipment purchased from a Bosnian firm located in the Republic of Turkey.
“Minister Turković expressed her wish that we also help Turkey to at least symbolically alleviate the difficult situation regarding COVID-19, which records about 700 deaths and 30,000 infected in Turkey, stated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH.
Minister Cavusoglu emphasized that the Republic of Turkey supports BiH's efforts in the fight against coronavirus, and that it will provide material and medical assistance to Bosnia and Herzegovina and support in the procurement of necessary goods as well as professional assistance.
