SARAJEVO, April 7 (FENA) - Director of the Tax Administration of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Šerif Isović, said today that the number of employees in the FBiH has dropped by 15,331 from the start of the pandemic to the present day.
“Over the past 13 days, employees of the FBiH Tax Administration have processed more than 24.000 registration forms in taxpayer registers. Unfortunately, we have the situation that out of a total of 24,507 processed applications, around 4,580 were applications for new employees and about 19,000 for employees that are laid off. This means that the number of employees in the FBiH has decreased by 15,331 employees,” said Isović.
He added that the Tax Administration of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its management have taken over all activities from the measures proposed by the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and thereby have reduced their capacities.
He stressed that they also took measures to protect taxpayers, citizens and employees of the Tax Administration.
Isović added that since April 1, they have provided all taxpayers with a new service. Anyone who is required by law to file his or her applications electronically can now view their tax card as well.
He called on taxpayers who are currently working to report their income and not avoid doing that.
