BRČKO, April 8 (FENA) – Medical professionals in Brčko District of BiH received 300 protective visors on Tuesday to help patients more effectively and protect themselves against coronavirus. The donation was provided by the European Union and it is the first part of the protection and medical assistance that will soon arrive in the Brčko District of BiH, the Brčko Government stated.
Mayor and Commander of the Brčko District Crisis Staff, Siniša Milić thanked for the equipment.
The European Union has so far allocated seven million euros for emergency medical needs in BiH, and the delivery of medical equipment has already begun.
So far, the European Union has donated 7.500 tests for Covid-19, and by the end of this week, it is expected to deliver 15.000 protective visors to medical professionals across the country. This assistance also includes the purchase of 80 ventilators for BiH. The delivery of the first 40 ventilators is expected in mid-April and the other 40 in May, it is said in a statement.
