President Erdogan sends letter to Chairman Džaferović and message for BiH

SARAJEVO, April 8 (FENA) - President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan has sent a letter today to Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Šefik Džaferović.

“On behalf of my people and my personal name, I extend my condolences to everyone in BiH who lost someone during a worldwide coronavirus pandemic. In fighting this disease, which has claimed many lives around the world, I wish fraternal people of BiH a lot of patience, strength and success,” said President Erdogan in his message.

He stressed that Turkey has always been close to friendly and fraternal people of BiH during difficult times and has shown that a true friend stays loyal in good and bad times.

“In this spirit, in order to contribute at least a little to your fight against the virus, in addition to the assistance we sent to your country earlier today, we are sending medical supplies again. With the will of God, the days filled with health and peace will return to BiH in the shortest possible time,” Erdogan emphasized in the message.

He wished Bosnia and Herzegovina success in her fight against pandemic and to the friendly people of BiH health and happiness.

Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency Chairman Šefik Džaferović spoke with President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan on April 5 about the state of affairs in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Turkey regarding efforts made by the two countries to stop the spread of coronavirus.
