SARAJEVO, April 9 (FENA) – President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping responded to a letter from BiH Presidency Chairman Šefik Džaferović thanking him for his positive assessment of China's efforts and cooperation with the international community in the fight against Covid-19 pandemic.
“At present, the pandemic is spreading all over the world while the number of newly confirmed cases of infection in BiH is continuously increasing. Let me, on behalf of the Chinese government and Chinese people, express my deepest sympathy for the authorities and people in BiH,” Xi wrote.
He added that humanity is facing public health security challenges together, and China is ready to enhance cooperation in the fight against the epidemic with all countries, including BiH, while adhering to the concept of a common future for humanity.
“China has donated medical supplies to BiH, opened a channel for BiH to commercially procure assets in China, and is ready to continue to assist BiH within its capacity, share experiences and practices on prevention, control and diagnosis, as well as it strongly supports the efforts of the authorities and peoples of BiH to fight the epidemic,’’ he wrote.
He recalled that this year is the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and BiH, and expressed confidence that the traditional friendship between the two countries will be deepened through cooperation in the fight against the epidemic.
“I attach great importance to the development of relations between China and BiH and I am ready to, together with you, make efforts to continuously improve bilateral relations, bringing prosperity to two countries and nations,” wrote President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping in a letter to the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović.
