Džaferović urges Bevanda to immediately sign and send the Letter to IMF

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, April 10 (FENA) - Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency Chairman Šefik Džaferović has called on Finance and Treasury Minister Vjekoslav Bevanda to sign and send a Letter of Intent to the International Monetary Fund.

“This is not a political issue, but an existential issue for the citizens and economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Politicizing at the moment of this major economic crisis in the last 25 years is an extremely frivolous and irresponsible attitude, which must be immediately terminated, as it can have very dangerous consequences,” Džaferović said.

According to him, the BiH Minister of Finance has a responsibility towards all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, not just the political interests of his party.

“That is why I urge him, in accordance with his obligations and responsibilities, to sign with the FBiH Minister of Finance immediately and send a letter to the IMF, so as not to jeopardize the huge financial resources that citizens and the BiH economy expect,” Džaferović said.
