Six healthcare workers in Goražde infected with coronavirus

GORAŽDE, April 17 (FENA) - Six new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Bosnian Podrinje Canton - Goražde, and all of them are healthcare workers.

According to a statement from the Cantonal Crisis Staff of the Civil Protection Service of the Bosnian Podrinje Canton, all of them were in contact with a patient whose coronavirus infection was confirmed yesterday.

"These are four employees of the Goražde Cantonal Hospital and two employees of the Goražde Health Center," the crisis staff confirmed.

Director of the Cantonal Hospital,  prim.dr. Nermina Kamenica pointed out that the infection of healthcare workers is expected since the medical staff is at the forefront of the fight against coronavirus.

In the area of this canton, 19 people are currently infected with coronavirus, two have been cured, while 123 remain in home isolation and are under medical supervision.
