Ajdinović: In the last 24 hrs, 34 persons sent to quarantine tents at BiH border

SARAJEVO, April 19 (FENA) - Member of the FBiH Civil Protection Crisis Staff and Director of the FBiH Inspection Directorate, Anis Ajdinović, said today at a regular press conference of representatives of the FBiH institutions that the directorate continues 24-hour monitoring at 14 border crossings, where FBiH sanitary inspectors exercise their competences.

So far, isolation measures have been issued to 26,035 persons have, a significantly lower number than in the previous seven to ten days, given the order of the FBiH Civil Protection Crisis Staff and the full implementation of the decision of the BiH Presidency, which directs all citizens entering BiH to go into quarantine in their places of residence.

He said that 34 persons have been sent to tents located at the border crossings in the past 24 hours and that 805 quarantine decisions have been issued so far in the Federation of BiH.

The FBiH Inspection Directorate continues to intensively implement measures to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in accordance with the orders and decisions of the competent authorities and bodies at the state and FBiH level.

Isolation measures to 209 persons issued by FBiH sanitary inspectors expire today, and until yesterday, a total of 20,842 persons have exited the mandatory 14-day isolation period.

In the period from 15 March to 19 April 2020, the FBiH Inspection Directorate carried out 243 inspections, 180 inspections were carried out at gas stations, pharmacies and other retail stores. A total of 269 violations have been found, which implies the issuing of the same number of misdemeanor sanctions in the amount of 433,150 KM.

In the case of 180 controls of the business entities, no irregularities were identified in business operations, i.e., it was determined that citizens' complaints were unsubstantiated," concluded Ajdinović.
