SARAJEVO, April 21 (FENA) – Chairman of the BiH Presidency Šefik Džaferović spoke with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković today.
Prime Minister Plenković and Chairman Džaferović exchanged information on the state of the coronavirus pandemic in the two countries.
They jointly stated that Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia have so far successfully dealt with the pandemic. Prime Minister Plenković expressed Croatia's readiness to support Bosnia and Herzegovina in medical equipment if necessary.
Chairman Džaferović and Prime Minister Plenković also discussed the forthcoming European Union-Western Balkans summit, scheduled for May in Zagreb. Opinions were exchanged on the modalities of meeting organization, given the pandemic.
Chairman Džaferović expressed his expectations that Bosnia and Herzegovina would gain candidate status as soon as possible and intensify integration activities. In this, as Prime Minister Plenković pointed out, BiH will have the full support of Croatia.
The interlocutors agreed that good bilateral relations between the two countries are of the utmost importance.
Chairman Džaferović emphasized the need for all outstanding issues to be resolved through dialogue and in accordance with international law, the BiH Presidency announced.
