Assessment of situation with regards to implementation of measures on EU path

SARAJEVO, April 27 (FENA) - Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dragan Čović, spoke today via video call with French and German Ambassadors to BiH, Guillaume Rousson and Margret Uebber ahead of the European Union and Western Balkans summit in May in Zagreb.

The meeting was aimed at assessing BiH's progress towards membership so far, in line with the key priorities listed in the 2019 European Commission Opinion, and supporting further progress towards EU membership and opening accession negotiations.

Officials continued the initiative of assessing the current situation in comparison with the requested implementation of measures in the previous period, emphasizing the perspective of a developed and European Bosnia and Herzegovina, once again providing unequivocal support for BiH's progress towards EU membership.

The underlined it is crucial for the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina to coordinate activities with this initiative, ensuring a stable, continuous and significant steps forward on BiH's European path.
