In RS, 338 samples were tested, two persons positive for coronavirus

BANJA LUKA, April 28 (FENA) - The Institute for Public Health of the Republika Srpska (RS) tested 338 laboratory samples from 34 municipalities in that BiH entity in the last 24 hours and two persons tested positive for coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2).

So far, 708 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in RS, 369 have recovered and 28 have died from Covid-19 related causes.

When it comes to new cases, it is a younger man and middle-aged man from Banja Luka.

“These persons have symptoms of the disease caused by the new COVID-19 coronavirus, but without a clear epidemiological link,” it is said in a statement from the entity's Ministry of Health and Social Welfare.

Within the last 24 hours, an additional 60 health workers from Prijedor, Kozarska Dubica, Foča, Trebinje, Kneževo, Laktaš, Banja Luka, Prnjavor, Gradiška, Bijeljina and Ugljevik were tested, as well as 38 people working or staying in homes for elderly and all test results are negative.

Eight workers in the markets were tested as well as a total of 91 people from local quarantines or isolation facilities and all tested negative.

In the RS so far, a total of 11.420 tests have been performed on coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2).
