Radončić-Uebber: One million euro donation to BiH Border Police

SARAJEVO, April 30 (FENA) - BiH Minister of Security, Fahrudin Radončić, received today Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Bosnia and Herzegovina Margret Uebber in Sarajevo to discuss security challenges and the migrant crisis in BiH.

Minister Radončić and Ambassador Uebber also signed an Agreement on donation of equipment from the Ministry of Interior of Germany to the Ministry of Security of BiH, which consists of 18 video conferencing systems worth 30,000 euros.

Ambassador Uebber also announced a new one million euro donation to the BiH Border Police.

These are ten vehicles for the transport of persons, devices for detecting counterfeit documents, and devices for detecting weapons, drugs and other equipment.

Minister Radončić thanked for this valuable donation, pointing out that it will be of great help to border police officers in their daily work, especially in the fight against cross-border crime and illegal migration.

Radončić and Ambassador Uebber have jointly stated that the issue of illegal migrants is a major challenge for our country and EU member states and that it must be addressed in accordance with the highest humanitarian and legal standards, the BiH Ministry of Security announced.
