Local quarantines in RS and those at border crossings close down as of tomorrow

BANJA LUKA, May 11 (FENA) - Border and local quarantines will be dissolved in the entity of Republika Srpska (RS) as of tomorrow, meaning that all persons crossing the border will be sent to home isolation.

"As of tomorrow morning,  local communities will have the obligation to dissolve local quarantines and send people to home isolation for a period of 14 days," said the Minister of Health and Social Care Alen Šeranić after the session of the RS Civil Protection Crisis Staff.

As for the quarantines on the BiH border crossings in the territory of RS, the inspectors will be instructed to issue decisions on home isolation for 14 days as of tomorrow morning.

Šeranić stated that fines of 1,000 to 3,000 KM will be imposed for violating the home isolation measure.

Drivers in international transport will only be registered and will not be sent into home isolation.

"Every person from quarantine will not be tested but will be sent to home isolation, and in case of symptoms, they are to immediately contact the family doctor," said Šeranić.

He explained that mass gatherings in the RS are still not recommended, but that a maximum of 50 people are allowed to gather in a certain area as of tomorrow.
