BiH Presidency backs agreement with Serbia on interstate bridges reconstruction

SARAJEVO, May 13 (FENA) - At today's session, the Presidency of BiH accepted the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of the Republic of Serbia on maintenance and reconstruction of interstate bridges.

Also, the Protocol amending the Convention for the Protection of Individuals with regard to Automatic Processing of Personal Data, the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany on Performing Paid Activities of Family Members of Diplomatic or Consular Officers and the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of the Republic of France on the granting paid activities of family members of the staff of official missions in each of the countries. 

The Presidency of BiH approved the conclusion of the Agreement between the Federal Republic of Germany and Bosnia and Herzegovina, regarding the allocation of the financial contribution for the project "Support to the system of reception and integration of citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina returning under readmission agreement".

The Presidency supported the conclusion of the Partnership Agreement on the implementation of technical assistance priorities within the IPA II Cross-border Cooperation Program Serbia - Bosnia and Herzegovina 2014-2020, between the operating structures of the two participating countries.

The Presidency of BiH approved the conclusion of the Agreement on Economic Cooperation between the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania, the Agreement on Economic Cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of North Macedonia, the Technical Agreement between the Ministry of Security of BiH and the Minister of Interior of the Republic of France on cooperation in illegal trade in firearms, ammunition and explosives and the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation on the Regular Functioning and Maintenance of the Flood Forecasting and Warning System in the Sava River Basin.

Also, the Presidency of BiH accepted the Report of the delegation for conducting negotiations for the purpose of concluding an Agreement on Trade and Economic Cooperation between the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The Presidency of BiH agrees that, instead of negotiations for concluding the Agreement on Trade and Economic Cooperation between the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan, negotiations for concluding the Agreement on Economic Cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Azerbaijan will be held.

The Presidency of BiH adopted the Report on the Implementation of the Agreement on Subregional Arms Control, Annex 1B, Article IV, of the General Framework Agreement for Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the work of the Subregional Consultative Commission in 2019.

The Presidency has accepted the invitation to participate in the Summit of the International Organization of La Francophonie, which will be held in Tunisia on December 12 and 13, 2020.

In addition, the Presidency of BiH has accepted the Information on the intention of Bosnia and Herzegovina to run for the membership in the Governing Board of the Postal Union.

The Presidency passed a Decision on Bosnia and Herzegovina's accession to the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol to the Vienna Convention for the protection of the ozone layer.

At today's session, the Presidency of BiH ratified 19 agreements, treaties, conventions and protocols, announced the institution.
