Doctor and nursing home beneficiary among 33 newly infected in RS

BANJA LUKA, May 14 (FENA) - In the last 24 hours, 697 laboratory samples were tested at the Institute of Public Health of the Republika Srpska and the University Clinical Center. Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) has been confirmed in another 33 people in Republika Srpska.

So far, 1.201 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in this BiH entity, and 511 people have recovered. As a result of COVID-19, 81 people died, the RS Ministry of Health and Social Care stated.

In the past 24 hours, another 101 health workers from Banja Luka, Prijedor, Novi Grad, Trebinje, Gradiška, Bijeljina, Čelinac, Laktaši, Bosanski Brod, Derventa, Teslić, Kotor Varoš, East Sarajevo and Foča were tested and these tests came back negative, but a doctor from the hospital in Prijedor tested positive for coronavirus.

Coronavirus was also confirmed in one beneficiary of the Nursing Home in Kneževo. In the last 24 hours, another 50 people from local quarantines or isolation facilities were tested and all test results were negative.

When it comes to new cases, there are 17 men and 16 women.

Three persons have been hospitalized, while the others will be in isolation following defined procedures.

In Republika Srpska, a total of 19.872 people have been tested for coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) so far.
