FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, May 14 (FENA) - In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection (Covid-19), the FBiH Civil Protection Staff (CPS) today repealed the order of April 29 on the distribution of 80 ventilators to cantonal civil protection headquarters, i.e., the cantons in the territory of FBiH.

The FBiH Civil Protection Directorate was ordered to distribute medical devices (swabs and transportation equipment) to the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, the University Clinical Hospital Mostar, the University Clinical Center Tuzla and the Cantonal Hospital Zenica.

FBiH CPS has decided not to extend the deadline for the application of orders prohibiting the movement of persons over 65 and under the age of 18 in the FBiH, so that as of tomorrow, they can move without restrictions in compliance with the prescribed hygienic and epidemiological measures.

At today's session, the application was extended for a certain number of measures until May 30 this year.

Among the measures that have been extended until May 30 this year, is the order banning all public gatherings in the FBiH in accordance with the regulations on public gatherings, with the addition of item 1 of this order, which allows public gatherings in indoor spaces with the provision of 10 m2 per person and compliance with epidemiological measures.

The previous order which temporarily suspended the operation of cinemas, museums, theaters, concert halls, art galleries, public swimming pools and baths, sports and recreation centers, etc., is no longer in force and has been replaced by a new order that will apply until May 30 this year, with a temporary suspension of services for public swimming pools and baths still remaining in force.

The application of the order to the operation of teller and payment services in the territory of FBiH is extended to May 30, such as: toll and clerk services in public companies, post offices in a way to allow the required distance of at least 1.5 meters between persons while respecting other hygienic and epidemiological measures.

The application of the order according to which all health care institutions in the territory of FBiH are obliged to open telephone lines for citizens, which must be publicly announced and available 24 hours a day for the purpose of providing health counseling and psychosocial assistance, has also been extended.

The CPS issued an order suspending the visits and exits of all migrants in all refugee-migrant reception centers, temporary reception and the asylum center in the FBiH, until May 30.

The application of the order in which the FBiH Administration for Inspection Affairs is required to, in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the FBiH, apply the procedure of health surveillance of all passengers in international transport in response to coronavirus (COVID-19) that enter BiH via border crossings in the FBiH, has also been extended.

The order to citizens for mandatory use of personal protective equipment (protective mask, cotton mask, scarf, etc.) and respecting physical distance of at least 2 meters in public areas and closed public facilities in the FBiH is still in force.

The application of the orders on the suspension of all activities in shopping malls in the FBiH (except for food and hygiene stores, pharmacies and wholesalers), has been extended until May 30.
