Five health workers from Prijedor are among 14 newly infected in RS

BANJA LUKA, May 19 (FENA) – In the last 24 hours, 328 laboratory samples were tested in Republika Srpska, and coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) was confirmed in 14 people.

As part of active supervision, in the past 24 hours, 18 health workers from Gradiška, Prijedor and Doboj were tested, and coronavirus was confirmed in five nurses and technicians from the hospital in Prijedor.

These are persons who were in contact with a health worker who was previously confirmed positive for coronavirus and who have been in isolation since then, the RS Ministry of Health and Social Care announced today.

So far, 1.292 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in RS, and a total of 93 people have passed away.

A total of 658 people have recovered from coronavirus in this BiH entity so far.

When it comes to newly infected, they are eight men and six women, of whom five are from Banja Luka, five from Prijedor and one each from Kneževo, Kotor-Varoš, Kozarska Dubica and Teslić.

In RS, a total of 22.006 people have been tested for coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) so far.
