SARAJEVO, May 19 (FENA) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić met today in Tuzla with Minister of Health of the Tuzla Canton Dajana Čolić and discussed current activities, challenges and models of fighting the pandemic.
The meeting was attended by gastroenterologist Nermin Salkić, Head of Gynecology Department at the University Medical Center Tuzla Igor Hudić and gynecologist Zlatan Fatušić.
During the meeting, proposals and ideas on the overall strengthening and improvement of the health system of Bosnia and Herzegovina were presented. They discussed state of the health system in the Tuzla Canton and Bosnia and Herzegovina, with special emphasis on the current challenges in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
It was pointed out that satisfactory results in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic in Tuzla Canton are the result of teamwork of all workers in the health system, as well as the result of preventive measures taken to prevent the spread of the virus.
The interlocutors stated that the health care system of the Tuzla Canton supplies almost one million inhabitants of Bosnia and Herzegovina and that in that sense stronger institutional support is needed.
The member of the Presidency, Željko Komšić, congratulated Minister Čolić as the most responsible person for the situation in Tuzla Canton on the excellent results and responsible facing of all challenges of the pandemic, the Presidency of BiH announced.
