SARAJEVO, May 20 (FENA) - SNSD President and BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik and HDZ President and Speaker of the BiH PA House of Peoples Dragan Čović met in East Sarajevo today and talked about delay in the allocation of money from IMF loans, the election of the CEC, the migrant crisis, the coronavirus pandemic, and many other issues.

At the press conference after the meeting, Milorad Dodik said that the agreement on the allocation of IMF funds in the ratio of 38 percent for Republika Srpska, 62 percent for the Federation of BiH should be supported, and that both entities would secure half a percent to the Brčko District.

“As far as the FBiH level is concerned, it has been agreed that 50 percent of the corresponding funds will go to FBiH accounts, and that 50 percent will be distributed to the cantons according to the criteria in the Federation of BiH itself. We now have delays that say that this decision is obviously not being respected, in the part of not accepting to determine what is the obligation of the FBiH authorities themselves to distribute the funds to the cantons. That is why the funds are blocked. We stated that, having in mind that Vjekoslav Bevanda and Zoran Tegeltija were also here, that all procedures in arrangements with the IMF are being followed and that the Governor of the BiH Central Bank has no reason not to distribute the funds as provided in the letter of intention,” said Dodik.

The leader of the SNSD stated that abuses related to the Central Election Commission of BiH were also discussed.

He believes that the court will annul the election of the CEC, so that conditions can be created for approving the funds for holding the elections.

He stated that they also discussed mutual cooperation with the HDZ at other levels, saying that there is good cooperation within the Council of Ministers of BiH. Dodik also informed Čović about an earlier meeting with SDA leader Bakir Izetbegović, with whom he discussed the possible work of the Council of Ministers and the BiH Parliamentary Assembly.

“We also talked about the pandemic. In that sense, we agreed that it is necessary for BiH to open its borders, as it is going to be done in the region, having in mind the economic and tourist needs. Today, we agreed to send such a request to the Council of Ministers of BiH,” said Dodik.

Dodik informed the HDZ President about the recent debate in the Presidency of BiH on the illegal entry of migrants.

The Speaker of the House of Peoples of BiH and the President of HDZ BiH, Dragan Čović, said that the cooperation between the two parties at all levels continues.

“I am afraid that in the next month or two, in parallel with the pandemic and adaptation to new conditions, we will have more and more problems when it comes to the refugee population and we must have very clear views. The fact is that we have many things, in addition to this information that we have 3,000 people with fake visas, and many other scandals from the center of Sarajevo, from ventilators to everything that has been done in the last six months, and was published in the media. We have to deal with it somehow. What I said in a conversation with Izetbegović today is that I am afraid that this coalition, that position at the level of BiH, is getting weaker every day and that it should be better, and that we will have to change habits if we want to do anything,” Čović said.
