Šarović:Lawsuit against Dodik and those who illegally eavesdropped on opposition

FENA Press release

BANJA LUKA, May 21 (FENA) - President of the Serb Democratic Party (SDS) Mirko Šarović announced a lawsuit against the leader of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) and member of the Presidency of BiH Milorad Dodik after he stated in the National Assembly "to eavesdrop on the opposition".

“We will file a lawsuit against Milorad Dodik and all those who illegally eavesdropped on MPs. This is an unrecorded case, the first public recognition of a high-ranking official for eavesdropping on the opposition, and after Macedonia for the second time in the region, that there is evidence and recognition that the government is eavesdropping on the opposition,” Šarović pointed out.

SDS reminded in a statement that Dodik spoke about it in the entity parliament.

“What happened last night in the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska is a dramatic stamp of yesterday's session. A member of the BiH Presidency acknowledged in the official institution that he was eavesdropping on the opposition. He even publicly addressed the Minister of Internal Affairs on that issue,” said Šarović.

He points out that the time has come for those who cheat, steal systematically and have nothing to offer to leave their positions.

He said that scandals took place one after the other during the state of emergency, and that money was used the least for health and protection against the pandemic, and more for public procurement.

“There are potentially huge scandals with the field hospital and other procurements. We see that the numbers of those infected in the Republika Srpska are twice as high as in the Federation of BiH, and that seems very unusual to everyone. This shows that the measures did not yield results and that the state of emergency was only used for a number of suspicious transactions. Minister Šeranić, who at the beginning gave optimism, has been marginalized somewhere, and only one man appeared,” Šarović explained.

Speaking about the work of the BiH Council of Ministers, the SDS President said that the current convocation in BiH is the worst in history, the SDS stated.
