SARAJEVO, May 24 (FENA) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić welcomed the decision of the BiH Central Election Commission to hold the elections.
“Holding the elections in November is realistic, considering that the pandemic slowed down that dynamic, and in a month, politically speaking, no one will lose or gain anything,” said Komšić.
He referred to Dodik's and Čović's attacks in connection with challenging the legitimacy of the Central Election Commission.
“They do not find the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina legitimate, let alone the Central Election Commission, which is not run by either of them. However, the logic in which there are no Dodik and Čović, there is no Bosnia and Herzegovina, is only theirs, and not the logic of the majority of BiH citizens, nor the way how the institutions are functioning,” said Komšić, it was announced from his office.
He also commented on the attack on the OSCE which said they were disappointed with recent statements by BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik and HDZ BiH President Dragan Čović and the neglect of democratic standards regarding the holding of elections.
“In general, they attack all international organizations, from OSCE to the International Court of Justice, if they do not meet democratic and civilizational standards that these international organizations propagate, and so it is with the OSCE, which will nevertheless remain a reliable partner of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” concluded Komšić.
