Džaferović: Convicted criminal Novak Djukić should be extradited to BiH

SARAJEVO, May 26 (FENA) - BiH Presidency Chairman Šefik Džaferović said that yesterday we marked 25 years since the horrific massacre at Kapija (Gate), when the grenade fired from Mount Ozren on 25th May 1995 killed 71 persons.

“This is also an opportunity to tell the Serbian authorities to finally end the shame of civilization by hiding the convicted criminal Novak Djukić. They must extradite him to Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said Džaferović.

The horrific massacre at Kapija (Gate), when the grenade fired from Mount Ozren on 25th May 1995 killed 71 persons and injured more than 200. This massacre, also known as the crime against Tuzla youth, is one of the most severe crimes committed against civilians of Tuzla.

Novak Djukić, a general of the former Army of the Republika Srpska (VRS), who was the commander of the Ozren Tactical Group at the time of the massacre, was convicted to 20 years for the massacre at the Tuzla Gate.
