Tegeltija, Bevanda and Turković with Sattler: Continue the reform processes

SARAJEVO, May 26 (FENA) - Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zoran Tegeltija and Deputy Chairpersons, Minister of Finance and Treasury Vjekoslav Bevanda and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bisera Turković talked today in Sarajevo with Head of the European Union Delegation to BiH Johann Sattler.

The current political and economic situation in BiH was discussed at the meeting regarding the continuation of European integration.

On this occasion, Chairman Tegeltija emphasized the commitment of the BiH Council of Ministers to continue BiH's European path by fulfilling the priorities from the European Commission's Opinion, and with full respect for the Constitution and the Dayton Agreement, and commitment to visible economic progress.

The interlocutors assessed that it is necessary to adopt the memorandum as soon as possible in order to conclude the Agreement on the use of EU macro-financial assistance funds. It was jointly stated that in order to overcome the economic consequences caused by the coronavirus pandemic, it is necessary to continue the reform processes and the implementation of socio-economic measures as soon as possible, and in that context to start economic activities and restore jobs.

The officilas also exchanged views on investment plans for the next period. Chairman Tegeltija thanked Ambassador Sattler for his efforts in providing assistance to BiH citizens and institutions in dealing with the problems caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the BiH Council of Ministers announced.
