Dodik: RS government to file lawsuit against CBBH Governor over IMF funds

FENA Press release

FOČA, May 27 (FENA) - President of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) Milorad Dodik announced that the Government of Republika Srpska (RS) will make a decision tomorrow to file a lawsuit against the governor of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, because no funds from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) have been distributed.

“I would like to inform the public that the Republika Srpska has already received the first installment of interest on the basis of the approved loan, and we have not received those funds yet. That is why the Government will make a decision tomorrow to file a lawsuit against the governor of the Central Bank who is stopping the distribution,” Dodik stated today in Foča.

He said the SNSD would support all activities in the BiH Council of Ministers to approve funds to hold local elections.

"As soon as the decision comes from authorized proponents, our members of the Council of Ministers will support that decision, but it is obvious that there is no agreement, just as there is no agreement on this famous story regarding the distribution of IMF funds, which is already causing significant problems," he said.

He also said that his party is ready for the elections and that they have no problems with holding them, and that everything is now up to "the illegitimately elected Central Election Commission of BiH".
