Vidović: RS will take measures if Central Bank of BiH does not allocate funds

BANJA LUKA, May 28 (FENA) - Minister of Finance of Republika Srpska (RS) Zora Vidović hopes that the Management Board of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina will make a decision on the distribution of funds of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to the entities, and if that does not happen, RS will take certain measures.

As she points out, it will be decided with the RS Attorney Office what are the first steps to be taken.

“Those funds have been on the accounts in the Central Bank for more than a month, and interests for non-withdrawal of funds are running for both entities,” Vidović told reporters after the session of the RS Government.

She says that RS urged several times to solve the problem due to the non-distribution of funds, but it was not successful.

“We sent an instruction to the Central Bank for that part of the funds that belongs to RS. Until now, it has never been possible to allocate funds to one entity and not to another,” Vidović stated.

She added that she does not know what the problem is, and she believes that politics is involved in everything.

Vidović added that all those in charge signed the document regarding the distribution of funds and agreed with the percentages.

“The Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH said that no decision of CoM is needed anymore in order for the funds to be distributed,” she said.
