SARAJEVO, May 28 (FENA) - Today's extraordinary session of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH, with the information on the activities of the FBiH Government undertaken since the declaration of the state of disaster caused by coronavirus, information on public procurement and proposed measures on its agenda, will resume on Monday.
After consultations with the Collegium of this House, which referred to the conditions for holding the session with regard to epidemiological measures, the Speaker of this House, Mirsad Zaimović, stated that in the new circumstances, a way to work in the presence of all MPs would be sought.
“On Friday, we had a session of the Collegium where we agreed to work in this way in relation to the last session, which, despite all the difficulties, given that there are 98 of us, was successfully completed. We wanted to improve the work and to have more representatives present at the session, that is, to have a third of them,” said Zaimović.
Speaker Zaimović stated that in the meantime, they were looking for a suitable space, i.e. a hall in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, which would enable the presence of all deputies, but they were not allowed to do that.
“On this occasion, we are publicly protesting, considering that this is a state building, and in our opinion, it is logical to make adequate space available so that the Parliament can hold sessions normally. We tried to do everything to find a space that is adequate so that deputies could be physically present in the hall,” Zaimović told reporters.
Due to technical problems, and the fact that this is a very important and current topic, as Zaimović said, they agreed to find adequate space by Monday and to call all MPs.
