SARAJEVO, June 3 (FENA) - An MP of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) in the BiH Parliament Safet Softić welcomed the adoption of the decision of the Council of Ministers on the allocation of the IMF funds.
“The new decision of the Council of Ministers is in accordance with the Constitution and the laws of Bosnia and Herzegovina. That is how it should have been done from the beginning, and that is what we asked for.
The Council of Ministers can allocate funds only to the entities and the Brčko District, and the institutions of the Federation of BiH will further allocate funds to the cantons according to the already adopted decisions,” Softić pointed out.
The decisions of the Council of Ministers, he adds, could not have been any different, except in accordance with the Constitution and the laws. Any insistence on anything else would be harmful and counterproductive.
“The same thing happened in this case, damage was done, because the IMF funds should have been directed to the economy as soon as possible. In any case, I welcome the fact that the Council of Ministers understood the necessity and solved this problem in a satisfactory way for the economy and citizens of BiH,” said Softić.
