SARAJEVO, June 4 (FENA) - We have quite good results of the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina in regards to the fight against the pandemic, as well as the health segment and measures that should help economy, President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Bakir Izetbegović said today during the break of the session of SDA Presidency in Sarajevo.

He said that the results are concrete when it comes to economic measures initiated by the Government of the Federation of BiH and that they should give satisfactory results.

“We are not satisfied with reactions of the Council of Ministers of BiH. I think there is a deliberate blockade there, by Mr. Tegeltija. Some ministers are trying to do their job, but the entire Council of Ministers has not done anything important, we still do not have the adopted budget for 2020. We expect that concrete measures to help economy will finally be taken,” said Izetbegović.

Unfortunately, he pointed out, the case of ventilators overshadowed everything.

“We call on judicial institutions to finish the investigation as soon as possible, in accordance with the law without political and media influence. The SDA and I strongly supported Prime Minister Novalić. We have heard criticism that this is the party's influence on the judiciary. We are involved in politics, and not only do we have the right, but we also have the obligation to underline and react to every phenomenon,” stated Izetbegović.

He added that SDA would never create a problem for any of the pillars of government in BiH, especially not the judiciary. They believe that it is quite clear that the Prosecutor's Office and the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of BiH are under political influence and that they do not treat all peoples in power equally.

“It is unthinkable for them to do something similar to the Prime Minister of the Republika Srpska as they did to the Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH,” the President of SDA emphasized.

Regarding the resignation of Fahrudin Radončić from the position of the BiH Minister of Security, Izetbegović said that he is sorry that he resigned, and that the political situation is becoming more complicated at the moment, and that the position of pro-Bosnian political bloc is weakening at the state level.

The SDA welcomed the decision of the Council of Ministers to allocate IMF funds, and expressed regret that it took this long for that to happen.

Izetbegović also reminded of the meeting with HDZ President Dragan Čović in the EU premises, stating that there is a chance that elections will be held in Mostar. He said the HDZ is ready to take steps towards earlier demands from the local SDA.
