MOSTAR, June 5 (FENA) - Commenting on the current migration situation on the border between Croatia and BiH, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković said that the Croatian side is making maximum efforts to cooperate with the BiH police regardless of the entity, and reiterated that he is against building the fence between Croatia and BiH.

"I think that if we cooperate and exchange information we can solve this issue without a single physical barrier, which in my opinion is something that neither Croatia nor BiH want," said Plenković in Mostar.

He added that these are two countries addressed to each other and that such a message, in his opinion, would not be good.

"I guarantee that if we gain the trust of Croatian voters once again for the second part of economic recovery and joint work, that it will not happen in the future (building fences and erecting walls), but that we will resolve the issue of migration through dialogue and cooperation," said Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković.

He reiterated that the issue of the migration crisis of the Western Balkan and Eastern Mediterranean routes must be resolved on the Greek-Turkish border, adding that the whole point of EU policy is to protect the border at the place where migrants enter the EU for the first time.
