Okić: BiH Prosecutor's Office must prosecute RS Prime Minister Višković

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, June 9 (FENA) - The RS Prime Minister Radovan Višković’s announcement that he does not plan to implement the decision of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina regarding the registration of military property in Foča and Doboj is a violation of the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which must be sanctioned, stated the Vice-president of the Council of Peoples of the RS National Assembly from the ranks of the Bosniak people, Mihnet Okić.

He reminded that the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Article 239 very precisely states that an official of the institutions who refuses to execute the final and enforceable decision of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina commits a criminal offense punishable by imprisonment from six months to five years.

“It is inadmissible that the Prosecutor's Office of BiH has different standards for the administration of justice when it comes to treating the Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH and the Prime Minister of the RS.

We demand that the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, with the same readiness shown in the case of Prime Minister Novalić, prosecute the RS Prime Minister Radovan Višković, as well as all other officials of the Republika Srpska entity who openly violate the law, refusing to implement the judgments of the BiH Constitutional Court,” Okić pointed out.
